His Excellency, Ambassador Jacques Werner

The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Malaysia

His Excellency, Ambassador Jacques Werner is a distinguished diplomat with over four decades of service in the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since September 2022, he has served as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Before his current appointment, Ambassador Werner represented the Netherlands as Ambassador to the Political and Security Committee (PSC) of the European Union in Brussels from October 2021 to September 2022. His extensive diplomatic career includes ambassadorial postings in Iran (2018–2021), Singapore and Brunei (2013–2017), and Romania (2005–2009). Throughout these roles, he focused on areas such as trade, economic cooperation, regional policy, European integration, and academic collaboration.
In addition to his ambassadorial duties, Ambassador Werner has held several prominent positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Director of the Europe Department, where he managed bilateral relations with 45 countries and contributed to European and regional policy development. His career also includes postings in The Hague, Copenhagen, and Belgrade, with extensive collaboration with the European Union on political and security matters.
Ambassador Werner holds a master’s degree in Public International Law from Rijksuniversiteit Leiden and spent a post-doctoral year at the Institut des Hautes Études Internationales in
Geneva.

Mr. Supun Nigamuni

Serves as the Managing Director for Control Union Malaysia and Papua New Guinea, a global leader in sustainability assurance in agriculture, renewable energy, textiles, recycling, forestry, aquaculture industries and many other sectors. In addition to the local responsibilities Supun also chairs the global expert team for Control Union overseeing the certification activities related to Forestry, Palm, Sugar, Soy, Rubber and Tourism and is a member of the Regional Management Team for APAC for Royal Peterson and Control Union Group

Dr. Renard Siew

President, Malaysia Carbon Market Association (MCMA)

Dr Renard Siew is the Head of Corporate Sustainability for Yinson where he is responsible for advancing the organisation’s work in the field of climate change and sustainability. He is also currently the President of the Malaysia Carbon Market Association (MCMA) looking into spurring the growth of the carbon markets nationally.
Prior to this, he was involved in the implementation of the sustainability agenda for a number of public-listed corporations (Sime Darby, CIMB, MRCB) and was a researcher at the Centre for Energy and Environmental Markets (CEEM) contributing thought leadership in: sustainability / integrated reporting, GHG reporting and verification, ESG integration, socially responsible investment (across different asset classes: equities, infrastructure and property/real estate), climate change and sustainable construction for the building/infrastructure sector. Renard is a graduate of Cambridge University, UNSW and the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2013, he was selected as one of 15 scholars to attend the PhD Academy at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). He has published in many international refereed journals. In 2014, he won a Highly Commended Paper award by the Emerald Literati Network and was inducted into the prestigious Global Young Academy as recognition of his research impact.

Ms. Moreen Joseph

Chief Sustainability Officer, UOB Malaysia

Moreen is currently the Chief Sustainability Officer as well as an Executive Director at United Overseas Bank Malaysia (UOBM). She is primarily responsible for the integration of sustainability into the bank’s governance, strategy, risk management, disclosures as well as key policies. Under her leadership, the bank embraces sustainability progressively from maintaining carbon neutrality for own operational emissions, inculcating sustainable procurement practices, spearheading internal capacity building to fostering wellbeing amongst colleagues and communities. As Chair of UOBM’s Country Sustainability Committee, Moreen ensures that all such initiatives are pursued in a synergistic and coordinated manner across the bank.
UOB is one of the earliest banks in region that has committed to Net Zero, specifically for 6 sectors within the energy and built eco-system. As CSO, Moreen engages clients with coverage team, sharing UOB’s collective sustainability capabilities in supporting our clients to transition from co-creation of sustainable supply chain program to curation of sustainability accelerator and bespoke programs.
Apart from her leadership role at UOBM, Moreen is also currently the co-chair for the JC3 (Joint Committee on Climate Change) SME Focus Group, a collective effort amongst regulators, bankers, insurance providers and relevant ministries to raise the country’s SME awareness and adoption of ESG. Under her costewardship with BNM, the SFG has successfully launched the ESG Jumpstart Portal, a one-stop information portal that provides SMEs with a simple and practical ESG reference guide. The SFG with various ecosystem partners, have also conducted series of capacity building sessions for SMEs and continuously explore collaboration opportunities to ease SME’s ESG transition.
Having worked for international management consulting firms, regulator, and banks throughout her extensive career, she has amassed in-depth knowledge that cuts across sustainability, corporate planning, business strategy development and implementation, mergers and acquisitions, large scale transformational and change management projects.

Mr. Francois Blignaut

Assistant General Manager (Reforestation) Samling Timber Malaysia

With over three decades of forestry expertise, Francois has been a driving force in environmental conservation and sustainable practices. Beginning his journey in South Africa, he spent 14 years with South African Forestry Company and Mondi Business Paper SA, honing his skills in forestry management. In 2007, he joined Samling Group; throughout the years he spearheaded reforestation projects in the group covering more than 35,000 hectares of tree plantation, specialising in forest planning and management. In 2021, as Samling ventured into carbon projects, he assumed the pivotal role as Carbon Project Lead, leading Samling’s inaugural Nature-Based solutions carbon project. His dedication to environmental stewardship and constructive solutions continues to make a profound impact in the realm of carbon conservation and forestry management.

Ms. Leo Pui Yong

Chief Sustainability Officer, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)

Leo Pui Yong is currently the Chief Sustainability Officer of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysia’s national utility company. Our business includes generation, transmission and distribution of electricity, as well as other sustainable energy solutions provided by our subsidiaries in Malaysia and internationally.
In her role, Leo Pui Yong spearheads the company’s sustainability initiatives, ensuring that TNB’s operations are meticulously aligned with its ambitious sustainability goals, particularly the aspiration to achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2050. Her unwavering commitment to implementing sustainable practices is instrumental in enhancing TNB’s resilience and securing its long-term success.

Puan Suhaini Haron

Senior Director of Corporate Development, Sustainable Finance and Strategy, Malaysia Forest Fund (MFF)

Suhaini Haron is a seasoned professional with 22 years of experience in asset management, start-up investment, and sustainable finance. With an extensive background in start-up funding at the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC), she has managed a substantial portfolio valued at RM580 million; and thereafter served in senior positions at Halal Development Corporation and Malaysian Rubber Board Properties Corporation.
As the Senior Director of MFF, she has spearheaded the development of Malaysia’s Forest Conservation Certificate (FCC) and the Forest Carbon Offset (FCO) protocols and serves as a member in multiple technical working groups, including Malaysia’s Carbon Pricing Instrument (CPI) study, as well as the development of the Climate Change Bill (RUUPIN), and the National Carbon Market Policy (DPKK).
On the international front, she serves as one of Malaysia’s negotiators and is currently the national focal point for Article 6.8 of the Paris Agreement under the UNFCCC and serves as part of the Working Group 4 under Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP), a technical committee of the ICAO Council, for Carbon Offset and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA).
Her knowledge, track record and deep insights make her a valuable panellist for discussions on asset management, investments, sustainable finance, and strategies for sustainable growth.

Ms. Isabelle Niekrake

First Secretary, Deputy Head of Economic Section Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Malaysia

Ms. Isabelle Niekrake is the First Secretary and Deputy Head of the Economic Section at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Malaysia. She is responsible for advancing Dutch trade promotion and fostering Responsible Business Conduct among Dutch enterprises operating in the region.
With an academic foundation in International Relations and International Business, Ms. Niekrake brings extensive diplomatic experience to her current role. Prior to her posting in Kuala Lumpur, she served as Second Secretary at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Mexico, where she focused on economic and trade relations across Latin America. She also served as Policy Officer at the US Desk of the Western Hemisphere Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague, contributing to strategic policy coordination and transatlantic relations.
Ms. Niekrake’s professional journey reflects a commitment to promoting sustainable, ethical, and mutually beneficial economic cooperation between the Netherlands and its international partners.

Puan Zalily Zaman Khan

Group Procurement Officer, FGV Holdings Berhad

Zalily Mohd Zaman Khan is the Group Procurement Officer of FGV Holdings Berhad, appointed in March 2025. With over 35 years of experience, she brings deep leadership expertise in governance, risk management, and internal controls, having served in senior internal audit roles and earlier in external audit and finance.
In her current role, Zalily is focused on strengthening procurement governance and enhancing processes to build a resilient, transparent, and socially compliant supply ecosystem. She has played a significant role in FGV’s remediation efforts following the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Withhold Release Order, contributing to the company’s commitment to responsible business practices and ethical sourcing.
Zalily is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Fraud Examiner. She holds a BA in Accounting from the University of South Australia, is a Fellow of CPA Australia, and a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Ms. Tan Jia Earn

Jia Earn is the Cluster ESG Manager for Hyatt Hotels in Kuala Lumpur, overseeing sustainability and ESG strategies across four key properties: Park Hyatt KL, Grand Hyatt KL, Hyatt Regency Midtown KL, and Hyatt Centric KL.
She began her journey with Hyatt as a Corporate Leadership Trainee and brings a well-rounded background in F&B, event management, and corporate sales. This diverse experience supports her holistic approach to sustainability in hospitality.
Jia Earn led the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur team in successfully achieving Green Key certification, a globally recognized eco-label for sustainable hotels, reflecting her commitment to impactful environmental practices.
She is currently pursuing her Master’s at the Jeffrey Sachs Center on Sustainable Development Management at Sunway University. Passionate about integrating sustainability into hotel operations, she is dedicated to creating lasting value for both the environment and community, while championing a culture of responsible hospitality.

Puan Hajah Nuranisah binti Hj. Mohd Anis

Chief Risk, Integrity and Governance Officer, S P Setia Berhad

Puan Anisah is the Chief Risk, Integrity and Governance Officer of S P Setia Berhad, spearheading the Enterprise Risk Management, Integrity & Governance and Corporate Sustainability functions.
She started her Enterprise Risk Management journey during her KPMG days back in the year 1997. Her KPMG experience also includes audit experiences in compliance, internal and external audit assignments in both GLCs and MNCs; locally and globally. Her exposure in Risk Management includes industries such as Investment Holding, Engineering (Aviation), Plantation, Postal services, Telecommunications, Hospitality, Water Treatment Plants, Construction and Property Development.
She is a Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO) obtained from the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) and a Certified Risk Manager awarded by The Academy of Risk Management Malaysia (ARiMM). She is also a Chartered Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Mr. Girish Ramachandran

Girish M Ramachandran brings 27 years of experience across over 270 advisory assignments, including feasibility studies, strategy reviews, due diligence, turnarounds, valuations, restructurings, and corporate investigations. His work spans government, corporates, investors, and lenders, with project values exceeding RM1 billion and development values over RM20 billion.
He began his career at Ernst & Young before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers and later appointed Head of Finance at ta global enterprise. Girish then became Head of Consulting at RSM International Malaysia, where he led projects for major national bodies like the Economic Planning Unit. MOF, ECERDC, Iskandar Malaysia, and others.
In 2018, he founded 27Group, a strategic consulting network bringing together a robust South East Asian asset consultancy team with several partners from global consulting firms and project managers creating more value for clients. Its arm, 27Advisory, was recognised in the SME100 Awards 2019 for Malaysia’ Fast Moving Companies.
Girish is also the co-founder of IRGA, an agritech enabler that specialises in extensive data analytics, field research, and product development capabilities, optimising the use of 4IR technologies to improve plantations and farm productivity. Girish has also been on the board of Kingoya, a global agritools manufacturer since 2010.

Mr. Jussi Veikko Saloranta

Mr. Syaiful Azmen bin Nordin

Managing Director, Landasan Lumayan Sdn Bhd (LLSB)

Syaiful Azmen bin Nordin is the Managing Director of Landasan Lumayan Sdn Bhd (LLSB), a wholly owned subsidiary of Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporation) (MBI). LLSB has been appointed as the Master Developer by the Selangor State Government to spearhead theKlang River Rehabilitation and Redevelopment Project, known as Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG). He has 24 years of experience in corporate strategy, financial restructuring, and strategic management. He has been with the MBI Group of companies for more than ten (10) years and has been involved in several corporate and financial restructuring exercises within the group. In addition to driving the State’s economic initiatives and being involved in the property development, river management and green economy sectors, Syaiful is also driving LLSB towards championing the ESG agenda under the MBI Group of Companies. Syaiful holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore (NUS) under the Airport Management Development Program (AMDP) and completed the Senior Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2019.

Puan Diyana Binti Mohd Amin

Diyana Amin is spearheading Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB)’s Sustainability & ESG division as Head of Sustainability & ESG. Diyana is primarily responsible for developing and implementing group sustainability & ESG strategies, as well as coordinating and aligning resource solutions to help achieve our mission and vision.
Coming from the hybrid discipline of Sustainability, Urban Design (& Interior Architecture) and Project Management in Built Environment – Space Transformation for over 15 years, Diyana graduated Master of Science (MSc) in Integrated Construction Project Management with top Distinction.
Her multidisciplinary experiences enable her to navigate through space design and planning, workplace transformation, feasibility studies, project management, change management and business model paradigm shifts well, including to join forces in providing Sustainable Solutions through township development, constructions & fit-out.

Puan Elina Jani

Chief Sustainability Officer, Nextgreen Global Berhad

Elina Jani is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Nextgreen Biomass Sdn. Bhd., the wholly-owned subsidiary of Nextgreen Global Berhad. She brings along with her more than 20 years of working experience in diverse portfolios in the green technology and biotechnology industry. Elina possesses a strong background in the public sector, previously driving biotechnology investments for 8 years under MOSTI, as well as driving green technology investments for 9 years under NRES. Elina has delivered more than RM55 billion worth of potential Investments for Malaysia’s Green Technology Sector from 2016-2025 She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Science, majoring in Microbiology from Universiti Malaya (“UM”) in 2004.

Mr. Izet Zamri

Key Account Manager (Asia) and Senior Business Development Manager, CarbonSpace

Izet Zamri is a Southeast Asia–based professional working in the climate industry, focused on high-integrity carbon markets and decision-grade MRV. At CarbonSpace, he serves as Key Account Manager (Asia) and Senior Business Development Manager, leading enterprise deployments of NEE-based monitoring across plantations and CPG supply chains and shaping the region’s commercial roadmap. He also leads partnerships and growth programs across ASEAN, helping corporates, project developers, and financiers design credible decarbonization roadmaps that meet evolving disclosure and assurance standards.
His work spans nature-based and land-sector portfolios (ARR, IFM, REDD+, agroforestry) and corporate supply chains in plantations and CPGs. Izet specializes in translating policy into practice—aligning GHGP (incl. FLAG), SBTi expectations, Bursa Malaysia sustainability disclosures, and EU-oriented due-diligence frameworks—so organizations can move from targets to measurable outcomes. On the MRV side, he blends satellite analytics with ground truth from eddy-covariance flux towers to quantify Net Ecosystem Exchange (NEE), enabling companies to track true carbon performance, support insetting, and de-risk claims with monthly updates and long historical baselines.
Beyond technical design, Izet builds the operating stack for scale: stakeholder mapping, registry onboarding, CRM and data pipelines, and product feedback loops that improve usability and audit readiness. He also supported registry ecosystem building (Asia) and partnership strategy with carbon project developers, strengthening linkages between developers, auditors, and buyers across ASEAN. Ms. Jackie Mah

President & CEO, Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM)

Jackie Mah is the President & CEO of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM), the national institute dedicated to enhancing the professionalism and effectiveness of boards and directors in Malaysia. She is responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth, and operational excellence of the organisation.
Prior to this position, Jackie’s tenure as Executive Vice President at ICDM saw her lead the Directors Development & Certification Framework, equipping boards with crucial skillsets for evolving governance challenges. She also facilitated board evaluations to enhance effectiveness, diversity, and culture. Recognising the importance of sustainability, Jackie completed the ESG Competent Boards Programme and was instrumental in integrating ESG into ICDM’s offerings. In this role, she also boosted operational efficiency, expanded outreach, and drove business growth through strategic alliances and market positioning. Furthermore, she managed the Research & Advocacy team, fostering thought leadership and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, all while championing a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative team culture.
Before ICDM, Jackie served as CFO at the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) Foundation, where her extensive experience spanned Financial Management, Strategic Planning, IT, HR, Business Development, Marketing, Communications, and leading global projects. Jackie is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Ms. Wong Hui Yin

Acting Director (Bursa Intelligence), Bursa Malaysia Berhad

Hui Yin is the Acting Director of Data & Digital Services at Bursa Malaysia, where she leads the strategy, development, and commercialisation of data, index, and sustainability-related solutions. Her mandate focuses on applying analytics, emerging technologies and AI to enhance product relevance, accelerate innovation, and enhance Bursa Malaysia’s agility in responding to dynamic market needs.
She also plays a pivotal role in shaping Bursa Malaysia’s sustainability ecosystem strategy, collaborating across exchanges, corporates, and government-led initiatives. Hui Yin was instrumental in establishing the Centralised Sustainability Intelligence (CSI) Solution for the market and oversees the FTSE4Good Malaysia franchise—driving the adoption of sustainability standards amongst corporate Malaysia.

Mr. Nadzri Yusof

Senior Vice President of Data Engineering & Architect Prasarana Malaysia Berhad

Nadzri Yusof brings over 26 years of experience in IT, specializing in system analysis, technical support, and project management. Currently, serve as the Senior Vice President of Data Engineering & Architect for Prasarana Malaysia Berhad Group Digital Division, he leads the corporate team in leveraging data-driven strategies to enhance business operations, innovation and efficiency.
Previously, Nadzri had a remarkable 16-year tenure at one of the leading energy provider in Malaysia, where he managed pivotal utility engineering systems, IT projects, including the Corporate Geospatial Information System.
His decade-long experience at global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure showcases his expertise in handling and managing extensive large-scale IT strategic government accounts, leading significant cloud transformation projects and optimizing IT infrastructures for major public sector clients.

Mr. Mohd Firdaus Asari

Head of Digital, SD Guthrie Berhad

Firdaus Asari is a digital transformation leader with over 20 years of experience in technology, operations, and strategy across the agriculture and oils & fats industry. He currently serves as Head of Digital at SD Guthrie, where he drives the modernization of estate, mill, and refinery operations through a platform-based approach that leverages data, AI, IoT, and robotics.
Throughout his career, Firdaus has championed large-scale digital initiatives that embed sustainability and efficiency into core operations – from precision agriculture to cloud-based data platforms, predictive maintenance, and robotics. He has also led major international projects, including SAP implementations in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, as well as refinery technology enhancements in Thailand and Indonesia.
An engineer by training from the University of Sheffield, Firdaus began his career as a software developer before rising to senior leadership. He holds professional certifications including PMP, PRINCE2, and Professional Scrum Product Owner, and has completed executive programs with Harvard Business School, Cambridge Judge Business School, and Singularity University.
Recognized for his ability to bridge technology with business outcomes, Firdaus is passionate about creating sustainable value chains, building data-driven organizations, and fostering high-performing teams.

Puan Zalina Zainol

Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Investment Development) Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA)

Puan Zalina Zainol is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Investment Development at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), the country’s premier agency that creates new pathways for growth and development in the manufacturing and services sectors.
With a career spanning over three decades at MIDA, she has held various senior positions, including Executive Director of Corporate Management Services, Executive Director of Strategic Planning (Services), and Director of the Corporate Communications Division.
