We delve deeply into comprehending the intricate interconnections between sustainability and various facets such as manufacturing processes, energy generation methods, the pivotal roles of agriculture and forestry, the implementation of sustainable supply chain solutions, and the integration of sustainable financing practices.
In alignment with this commitment, Control Union is dedicated to offering third-party sustainability verification and assurance services. Our objective is to provide a robust framework that empowers businesses to validate and authenticate their sustainable practices, contributing to a more environmentally conscious and responsible global landscape.
The Malaysian Dutch Business Council (MDBC) initiated the MDBC Sustainability Awards in 2011, which evolved into the MDBC Innovation & Sustainability Awards (MISA) in 2017. MISA recognizes and shares best practices in sustainability and innovation among Malaysian and Dutch companies. To ensure diverse participation, award categories change annually.
The program is funded by corporate sponsorship, offering sponsors visibility and networking opportunities. Open to all companies with a Dutch-Malaysian link, MISA allows participants to benchmark their achievements in sustainability and innovation.
Each year, companies submit nominations based on the announced categories. These nominations undergo validation and are reviewed by expert judging panels. Shortlisted nominees present their submissions during the MISA Day Program. Winners are announced at the MISA Awards Ceremony, and a post-event supplement highlights finalists and winners, promoting the sharing of best practices and recognizing industry leaders.
